Connect with others who can relate to your experience
Group meetings offer a supportive space to connect and share experiences with other male survivors of sexual abuse.
After you’ve completed your sessions, we will set up a one-on-one meeting so that you can tell us about your experience within the group.
We offer free services to individuals who:
Identify as male
Live on the island of Montreal
Believe they have experienced one or more instances of sexual abuse
Accessing our services is completely confidential. Please note that this step must be taken by you personally—no one else can do it on your behalf.
In need of help? Reach out by phone or email. We’ll make sure we are the right resource for you, and we’ll take down your contact information.
We will contact you within 48 business hours. During this introductory call — which should last roughly an hour — we'll open a file for you and explore the various services available to you.
We will be happy to meet with you at our offices. This initial conversation will familiarize you with our organization. We’ll also discuss your goals, and guide you towards the right services based on your situation.
Want to take part in one of our group services? First, we’ll schedule a one-on-one meeting with you.
This will give you a chance to meet with the social workers leading the group and form a connection, all the while ensuring your chosen path aligns with your goals and expectations.
Please note that your pre-group meeting is not a guarantee that you will be able to join a group.
This support group is aimed at men men who experienced sexual abuse when they were children (before turning 18).
It covers a range of issues and promotes awareness of the lasting impact sexual abuse can have well into adulthood.
The main goal is to create a sense of security.
Through a combination of theory, dialogue, and shared experiences, our intervention program helps you better understand the impact of sexual abuse as you work towards a satisfying and fulfilling sex life.
This group is structured around various themes, including self-esteem, sexual orientation, intimacy, sexual fantasies, compulsive behaviours and the myths and effects related to sexual abuse.
This group helps you acknowledge your anger and teaches you how to manage it in ways that align with your values.
You’ll gain insights into the root causes of your anger, as well as how it affects you physically, emotionally, and mentally.
This group aims to improve your perception of anger.
Our goal is to help you invite and name your emotions, rather than letting them govern your decisions, whether consciously or not.
The tools and information come mainly from mindfulness practices. This group encourages you to tap into your creativity to express the depth of your emotions and feelings, and take pride in them.
This group guides participants in identifying the four major male archetypes: the King, the Warrior, the Magician, and the Lover.
By understanding these archetypes, you’ll be able to uncover your own strengths and unique qualities. This awareness gives you what you need to take meaningful action and improve your sense of self.
Coffee meetups are spaces for connection and conversation for CRIPHASE members.
These meetups help break isolation over a cup of coffee and a board game. They offer the chance to build relationships with men who share similar experiences.
At these meetups, a CRIPHASE facilitator will always be present to ensure discussions remain respectful.
Theme nights are opportunities for CRIPHASE members to connect with one another.
These events, centred around a specific theme, are an opportunity to broaden perspectives, learn something new, and explore topics both related and unrelated to sexual abuse in men.
At our theme nights, a CRIPHASE facilitator will always be present to ensure discussions remain respectful.
