CRIPHASE at the Congrès international francophone sur l’agression sexuelle (CIFAS)

Recently, part of the CRIPHASE team traveled to Lausanne, Switzerland, alongside the Regroupement des organismes québécois pour hommes agressés sexuellement (ROQHAS).

What is CIFAS?

The Congrès international francophone sur l’agression sexuelle (CIFAS) is a biennial event held alternately in Canada and Europe.

Established in 2001, this congress was created to bring together researchers and professionals from the international Francophone scientific community working in the field of sexual aggression.

Concerned about this critical issue and driven by the desire to find solutions to reduce the number of victims, the Institut Philippe-Pinel de Montréal, in collaboration with the Regroupement des intervenants en matière d’agression sexuelle (RIMAS), took the initiative to unite this community. The goal is to foster the exchange of experiences and reflections to advance knowledge and practices.

Our Objective at CIFAS

For us, this event was an opportunity to present the Quebec reality of men who have experienced sexual abuse and showcase our unique approach. It was an incredible occasion to share our expertise.

We also took the opportunity to network and deepen our knowledge with partners from across Quebec and Francophone Europe.

A big thank you and congratulations to our colleagues who represented us so well!
